Please note:
Package Option 1 is inclusive of accommodation, meals and transfers between Augrabies Falls National Park and Augrabies Falls Lodge & Camp as included in the itinerary.
Package Option 2 excludes all accommodation, meals and transfers as included in the itinerary. Participants choosing this option are to arrange their own accommodation, meals and transport. Should you want to book the dinner right after Registration and/or the Prize-giving function, please contact
Simoné at simone@kaem.co.za and make your booking in advance (no bookings at the event will be taken). The cost of these two dinners will be added to your Entry Invoice.
SUNDAY, 15 September 2024
15:00 – Registration at Augrabies Falls National Park
You will receive your goodie bag, chalet number and keys. Accommodation is booked on a shared basis.
PLEASE NOTE:
For participants that will travel by Airlink to and from Upington Airport, KAEM arranges return bus transfer from Upington Airport to Augrabies Falls National Park. The bus leaves Upington Airport at 13:00. If you want to make use of this service, please book with Simoné at simone@kaem.co.za and ensure that you are at Upington Airport at 13:00.
The bus will travel through Kakamas and stop at the Kalahari Gateway Hotel in Voortrekker Street at 14:00 to pick up participants. If you want to catch the bus at Kakamas Gateway Hotel, please book with Simoné at simone@kaem.co.za.
KAEM bus transfer costs:

Return: ZAR 760If you are travelling with your own transport to Augrabies Falls National Park, first go to the Augrabies Falls Lodge & Camp (4km from the Park) to collect a KAEM car sticker to allow you entrance into the Augrabies Falls National Park without having to pay entrance fees. The Chalets will be available from 15:00.
16:00 – Meet at the Conference Room at the Augrabies Falls National Park for Race briefing and medical checks. (In case the location may change, participants will be informed prior to arrival).
18:00 – Dinner at the Augrabies Falls National Park Restaurant.

MONDAY, 16 September 2024
06:00 – Ensure that your water bottles are filled up and your day pack is ready for the first day of the race.
Meet at the parking area of Augrabies Falls National Park with all your luggage. Hand in luggage to be locked away during the race. You will receive luggage labels in your goodie bag. Label each item clearly with your name and Bib number (do not hand in any loose items).
Please ensure that you sign for your booked-in luggage.
Hand in overnight race bag for transportation to the finish camp. Please ensure that it is labelled with your name and Bib number.

MONDAY, 16 September to Friday, 20 September 2024
Event Race. Each day is detailed on the Kalahari Augrabies Extreme Marathon Route Book.
FRIDAY, 20 September 2024
Staggered start for the last leg.
10:00 – Participants finish the race.
11:00 – 13:00 Finger lunch and refreshments at the Finish
Two refreshment drinks will be provided for each participant. Additional refreshments can be signed for and paid that evening.
14:00 – Sign and collect your luggage and your chalet keys. The chalets WILL NOT be available before 14:00.
17:30 – Meet at the parking area, Augrabies Falls National Park, for transfer to the Augrabies Falls Lodge & Camp for dinner.
18:00 – Dinner at Augrabies Falls Lodge & Camp.
20:30 – Transfer back to Augrabies Falls National Park
SATURDAY, 21 September 2024
Breakfast and lunch at the Augrabies Falls National Park Restaurant. The day is yours to spend at leisure.
16:30 – Meet at the parking area, Augrabies Falls National Park, for transfer to the Augrabies Falls Lodge for the Prize Giving function and dinner.

21:30 – Transfer back to Augrabies Falls National Park. You may stay later, provided that you have made arrangements for transport back to Augrabies Falls National Park.
SUNDAY, 22 September 2024
07:00 – Breakfast at the Augrabies Falls National Park Restaurant.
09:15 – Participants that will make use of the Transfer Bus to Upington Airport, meet at the parking Area in the Park.
09:30 – The bus leaves for Upington Airport.
10:00 – All other participants, vacate chalets by 10:00.
In case you need to catch the Intercape Bus at Kakamas in the evening, please make arrangements for transfer to Kakamas with Simone at simone@kaem.co.za.
